Caroline (Carrie) Rudnicki, 94, passed away Thursday morning, February 19 at Austintown Healthcare Center.
Carrie was born August 15, 1931 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Anna Kolatich Herzich.
Carrie graduated from Wilson High School. She married her loving husband, Stanley in 1952 and lived and raised a family in Austintown. She worked as a stockroom clerk and manager for JCPenney at both the Mahoning Plaza and Austintown Plaza locations. Carrie was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and was active in its Altar and Rosary Society. She volunteered at the St. Vincent DePaul Society, St. Stanislaus Ladies Guild and Ladies Auxiliary Catholic War Veterans Post 1222.
Carrie is survived by sons, Robert (Stacy) and Ronald (Michelle); grandsons, Jonathan (Maria Rojas) and Joshua (Michele); and great-grandchildren, Silas, Jude and Maeve.
She is predeceased by her husband, Stanley, whom she married on March 25, 1952, and who passed away on October 14, 2015; sisters, Mary Ann Scott, Margaret Herzick and Dorothy Wilson; and brothers, Steve Herzick and Nicholas Herzick.
Family and friends may pay their respects from 1 to 3 PM at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, where a Funeral Service will follow at 3 PM.
The family asks that In lieu of flowers donations be made to Sanctuary Hospice of Ohio, 6715 Tippecanoe Rd Suite B-101, Canfield, OH 44406.
