Beverly Ann Detate passed away February 21, 2026, at the age of 77.
Beverly was born on January 20, 1949, in Salem, Ohio, a daughter of Homer and Doris Walker Bell.
A proud graduate of Leetonia High School, Beverly dedicated her life to being a cherished wife and mother. She embodied warmth, creativity, and passion, whether it was through her love for cooking and baking or her many crafted creations.
A devoted member of St. Brendan Church, Beverly found solace and strength in her faith and community.
Her vibrant spirit shone brightly through her love of dance, where she excelled at Arthur Murray Dance Studio, earning numerous awards and trophies.
Beverly took great joy in hosting lively gatherings, where laughter and love filled the room. She also found pleasure in friendly competitions over board games, playing cards with family and friends, and the thrill of BINGO. Her zest for life was infectious, and she will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
Beverly is survived by her loving husband, Anthony J. "Tony" Detate Jr., whom she married on October 6, 1979; her beloved daughter, Gina (Michael Glotzbecker) Detate of Dayton; and her brother, Dale Bell.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Earl Bell.
Family and friends may pay their respects from 5 to 7 PM on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, 4303 Mahoning Avenue.
Prayers will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, February 26, 2026 at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Mary Magdalene Parish, St. Brendan Church, 2800 Oakwood Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her family during this time.
