Bettyanne Fennessey

POLAND - Bettyanne Fennessey, 78, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025, at her home.

She was born on September 27, 1946, in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of the late Alexander Hrinko and the former Betty Jane Reese. 

Bettyanne was a proud graduate of Ursuline High School, class of 1964. She continued her education at Youngstown State University, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education, followed by a Master's Degree in the same field. As a committed educator, she spent many years teaching in Youngstown City Schools.

A devoted family woman, Bettyanne was actively involved in the lives of her grandchildren.

Bettyanne is survived by her husband, Thomas Edward Fennessey whom she married on July 27, 1968; her daughters, Breona (William) Rowbotham, of Boardman and Alison (Brian) Wess, of Poland; sister Diane (John) Blasko, of Strongsville, OH; brother, Alexander Hrinko Jr., of North Carolina; and grandchildren, Madison Wess, Gavin Wess, and Aiden Rowbotham.

Calling hours will be on Friday, June 27, 2025 from 11am to 12:30pm at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel. Rev. Gerald Delucia will begin prayers at 12:30pm at the funeral home followed by a chapel committal service at Calvary Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
