Bert E. Liston

"Together Again"

Bert E. Liston, 93, peacefully passed away at Maplecrest Nursing Home in Struthers. 

Born in Clifton Mills, WV, on March 5, 1930.

Bert served his country with honor as a Military Police in the United States Army. His commitment and dedication extended beyond his military service. He became an operating engineer for Local 66.  After retiring,  Bert found joy and solace in his hobbies and interests. He was a member of the Lordstown Christian Church. Bert was also a member of the Hudson Club, where he traveled the country with his wife in their old car. He had a deep love for nature and spent many peaceful hours indulging in the art of bird watching.

Bert will be remembered for the love he shared with his dear late wife, Naomi L. Kennedy Liston, whom he married March 3, 1956 and passed away Feb. 19, 2023. He is also preceded in death by his parents, Hosea and Hazel Foreman Liston; three sisters, Lida Carrol, Mary Mickey, Elsie Everly; and three brothers Errol, Ora, and Edward Liston.

Bert's legacy lives on through his family. He is survived by his daughter, Judy (Jordy) Tsvetanoff of Struthers, son, Earl (Ronna) Liston of Hubbard; five grandchildren, Gary (Liz) Heasley, Jordan Tsvetanoff, Cory Liston, Amanda Liston, and Tara (Steve) Kish; and three great-grandchildren, Logan, Christopher, Alexus; his brother, Buddy Liston of Boardman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Jackson-Milton Chapel on February 27th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service at 1 PM.
