Youngstown - Arlene R. Bieda, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026, at the age of 86.
Born on October 16, 1939, in Oil City, PA, Arlene was a proud graduate of Hickory High School in Hermitage, PA. A devoted homemaker, she dedicated her life to nurturing her family and creating a loving home.
Arlene was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, proudly holding season tickets and attending five Super Bowls. Her passion for her team was a testament to her spirited character and love for sports.
Yet, her true legacy lies in the warmth and love she instilled in her family. She is survived by her three children, Denise (Don) Martell of Ravenna, Darlene Treharn (Tom Dama) of Boardman, and Dennis M. (Donita) Bieda of Lanpasas, TX. Her legacy continues through her seven grandchildren, Jake (Brooke) Martell, Shelby Martell, Bailee (Cyler) Reed, Josh (Kayla) Bieda, Nicole (Ricky) Jewell, Courtney (Josh) McHenry, and Morgan Bieda; and her great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy, Luca Michael, Paislee, Peyton, Isabella, Thomas, Waylon, Elsa, Cam, Beauden, Joseph, Gabe, Evie, and Kinsley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John S. and Dorothy R. Ruffing Meier; her beloved husband, Joseph M. "Mike" Bieda, whom she married on May 28, 1960, and who passed away on September 30, 2002; and her two sisters, Dorothy Horan and Mary Tyillian.
There will be no services for Arlene, but her family requests donations be made to Angels for Animals, 4750 W South Range Rd, Canfield, OH 44406, angelsforanimals.org
