YOUNGSTOWN - Anna Marie Hammond, 66, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 15, 2025.
With profound sadness we announce the passing of Anna Marie Hammond. Anna was a beloved daughter, cherished sister, devoted mother, and passionate grandmother who provided an abundance of love to her family and friends. Her legacy continues with her children, Noah (Nicole) Kenreigh, Christopher (Kaewta) Kenreigh, Lee Antoinette (Erika Miller) Kountz, and Dylan (Breanna) Kountz, and her grandchildren, Rosemary, Orion, and Elio Kenreigh, who brought her endless joy. Anna is also survived by her sisters, Helen E. Elliot and Christina “Tina” Hammond and her brother, Jim Hammond.
From a young age Anna showed an immense propensity for nature, which culminated in creating several floral shops in and around the Mahoning Valley. Through her passionate endeavors, she brought light to the hearts of those who frequented her shops. Showcasing her passion for horticulture, her knowledge of flowers was intricate and shined through her thoughtful and beautiful work that intertwined emotion and composition.
Anna then dedicated herself to the Boardman School Systems for over twenty years. She met the needs of students through her roles in janitorial, cafeteria, and transportation services. Greeting students with warmth and sentiment, she cherished her time getting to know each child and ensuring their care and safety.
A woman of grace, strength, and generosity, Anna’s legacy is one of unconditional love, unwavering service, and a heart that embraced everyone she met. Every act of her kindness echos in time with all who loved her. Preceded by her parents Abraham and Winnefred Hammond, their spirits are now reunited in peace along with her brother-in-law, Gary Elliot. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege to know her gregarious pleasantries and virtues.
The visitation to honor Anna will take place on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM, followed by a Mass at 1:00 PM, at St. Maron Maronite Catholic Church located at 1555 S. Meridian Rd, Youngstown, OH 44511.
