August 8, 1936 — February 25, 2026

Ann Marie Costantini -- 89

Ann Marie Costantini, 89, of Farmington Hills, Michigan, formerly of North Lima, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, February 25, 2026. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel.

Born on August 8, 1936, in Columbus, Ohio, Ann was the beloved daughter of Frank Xavier and Roseanne (Heil) Keck. She devoted many years to raising her family in Syracuse, New York, and upon her husband's retirement returned to Ohio before relocating to Michigan. Ann will be remembered for her kindness, deep faith, generous spirit and unwavering love for her family along with her impeccable sense of style. A lifelong lover of music, the arts and learning, she approached life with curiosity, grace and enthusiasm.

A survivor of polio at age 19, Ann faced months of hospitalization, and the dedication of the medical staff inspired her to pursue a career in nursing. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Nursing from Capital University in Columbus, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University in 1962. She went on to teach nursing at The Ohio State University for five years, sharing her knowledge and compassion with future generations of caregivers.

As her children entered high school, Ann embraced a longtime interest in fashion, working in retail for Bolton's of New York City and Ann Taylor. Her eye for style and love of people made this work especially meaningful to her. Having been an enthusiastic ambassador of fashion for senior women, she retired in 1998.

Ann was deeply engaged in civic, cultural and academic organizations. She served as past president of the Portfolio Club of Syracuse, a distinguished women's organization founded in 1875 that fostered intellectual growth through the preparation of historical papers, many of which are archived at Syracuse University. She was also a member of the Piercefield Women's Club, Solvay Garden Club, Chi Omega Alumni Group, the University Women's Club of Syracuse, and the Opera Club of Syracuse through which she and her husband had the honor of hosting renowned Italian tenor Luciano Pavarotti. In addition, she served on the board of the Huntington Family Center.

While living in the Youngstown area, Ann was an active parishioner and cantor at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Boardman where her faith found joyful expression in music. She also founded a neighborhood book club, inspiring thoughtful conversation and new friendships.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Leonard V. Costantini, with whom she shared many happy years of marriage; her parents; and her brothers, Frank X. Keck Jr and Robert Joseph Keck. She is survived by her daughters Julie Van Devender and her husband Paul of Novi, Michigan, and Amy Smith and her husband James of Japan; seven grandchildren, Nichole, Ryan, Philip, Olivia, Emily, Daniel and Aiden; and one great-grandchild, Benjamin.

Family and friends may call prior to the funeral service. A luncheon will follow at A La Carte Catering in Canfield. Arrangements are entrusted to Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, 3701 Starr Centre Drive Canfield, Ohio 44406. Condolences may be shared at www.higgins-reardon.com
