SALEM - Sandra "Sandy" Hrusovski, 75, died peacefully, Sunday evening, at her home.
Sandra was born Jan. 15, 1942, in Youngstown, the daughter of Harold and Luella "Sally" (Seifert) Gosnell.
Sandra married James F. Hrusovski Sr. on July 20, 1960, sharing 53 years of marriage until his passing on Dec. 10, 2013. Together their union produced two children.
Sandra leaves to cherish her memories, her children, son James Jr. of Salem and daughter Sherri of Salem; grandchildren Mykie (Lindsey) Hrusovski of Cleveland, Brandon (Kayla Ringo) Hrusovski of the U.S. Navy, and Andrew Hrusovski of Salem; great-granddaughter Emma Hrusovski; her brother, Chip (Janice) Gosnell of Indiana; sister Susan (Bill) Wayne of Austintown; and brother-in-law Roger Grafton of Howland.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Janet Grafton.
She was a 1959 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and worked as the activities director for Salem Convalescent Center for over 20 years until her retirement in 2000.
In her spare time, Sandra enjoyed being with her family and friends, making everyone feel welcome in her home. She took great pride in her gardening and being outdoors. Sandra enjoyed attending social events, watching the Triple Crown each year, and attending casinos with family and friends. Above all, she took much pride in her family cherishing every memory that was made.
She was dearly loved her children, grandchildren and extended family very much.
Per Sandra's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Material tributes may take the form of donations to the donor's choice.
