Samuel Huffstetler

May 3, 1959 — July 14, 2017

Samuel H. Huffstetler: comedic, music/movie whiz, and animal lover, of North benton, Ohio, went
home to the Lord on Friday July 14th, 2017. He was born on May 3rd, 1959 in Warren, Ohio to Gene and Harlene (Eckels) Huffstetler.

He took immense pride in his work at General Motors where he provided for his family for 39 years. He spent a large portion of his life outdoors. Whether it be hunting, fishing, shooting his bow, riding his motorcycle, or scrambling over at Nelson Ledges- he was always alongside of his family while doing so. He praised and worshiped the lord Jesus Christ and was a member of Pine Lake Christian Church where he was baptized. Sam loved his beautiful, patient, and gentle-hearted bride, Cindy, of 31 years, his two loving daughters Katie and Sara, his rescue pup, Daisy, his precious grand-baby, Zoey, and the numerous birds, squirrels, and wildlife that inhabited his front-yard.

His life will forever be cherished in the memories of his wife, Cynthia (Emerson) Huffstetler; mother, Harlene Huffstetler; two sisters, Karen Huffstetler, Carol Graham (Nick); two daughters, Katie Huffstetler (fiancé Jeremy Ryan) and Sara Huffstetler (fiancé Christopher Zikeli) ; granddaughter, Zoey Ryan; father-in-law, Darwin Emerson; two nephews, Anthony Graham and Joseph Bindas; two nieces, Nicole Justice and Christy Leiter; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; adopted pup, Daisy; grand-pups, Sheldon and Beau.

He is preceded in death by his father, Gene Huffstetler; grandparents, Florence and Park Eckels, Fred and Mary Etta Huffstetler; numerous aunt uncles and cousins; animals, Sarge, Dodger, Dusty, Jamie, Bo, Prince, Max, Danny, Smokey, and his flying squirrels Chip and Dale.

Calling hours will be held at 11:00 am-1:00 pm with service to follow on Friday, July 21st at Pine Lake Christian Church: 636 Pine Lake Rd, Sebring, OH 44672, where Tom Palmer will officiate. Donations in Sam's memory may be made to Angels for Animals in Canfield, Ohio or Pine Lake Christian Church in Sebring, Ohio.

Arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel.
