Eileen Corletzi

June 17, 1925 — January 24, 2018

CHAGRIN FALLS - Prayers will begin Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Dominic Church, for Eileen Mary Corletzi, 92, who died early Wednesday morning at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland.

Eileen was born June 17, 1925, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of Edward and Nellie (Rowan) Devlin.

She was a graduate of South High School. Eileen worked for Isaly's, Commercial Shearing, where she met her husband, Ambrose Corletzi, and the office of Dr. Paul J. Mahar Jr., MD.

Eileen was a dedicated lifelong member of St. Dominic Church, and active in many of its organizations, including the Dominican Laity and Legion of Mary.

Eileen is survived by her son, with whom she made her home, Edward (Teri) Corletzi, of Chagrin Falls; grandson Dominic Ambrose Corletzi; sister Rosemary Reardon of Columbus; sister-in-law Peggy Beede of Palm Springs, Calif. and Rosarito Beach, Mexico; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Robert Beede, whom she married in 1950, and died in the Korean War in 1951; second husband, Ambrose Corletzi, whom she married in 1960, and died in 1965; and her sister, Margaret Hickey, died in 2017.

Family and friends may call Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to St. Dominic Church in Youngstown and Hospice of the Western Reserve.
