Randall Cornelius

January 30, 1961 — September 7, 2014

AUSTINTOWN - Randall W. Cornelius, 53, passed away unexpectedly Sunday at his home.

Randy was born Jan. 30, 1961, in Warren, a son of the late Wilbur and Agnes (Orwig) Cornelius.

Randy was a 1979 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. He was employed with Meridian Services as a cook and was also a retired Austintown volunteer firefighter. Randy loved to cook for others, especially his AA friends. He enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, and sitting around the campfire with family and friends. His greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren.

Randy leaves his wife, the former Rose M. Cerimele, whom he married Dec. 21, 1978; his two sons, Kevin Cornelius of New Port News, Va., and Jeffrey (Wayne Baird) Cornelius of Boardman; two grandchildren, Eric and Sarah Cornelius; two sisters, Karen Green and Brenda Cornelius, both of Austintown; and two brothers, William (Cheryl) Cornelius of Canfield and Richard Cornelius of Mineral Ridge.

Randy was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Davis.

Family and friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.

There will be no service and cremation will take place.

Randy's wish was to give the gift of life by being an organ donor.

Randy had a heart of gold and no matter what you asked of him, you got it.

Randy will be dearly missed, especially by his wife, Rose, of 35 years, and all his family and many others who touched his life.
