NORTH JACKSON - A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the First Federated Church, 10786 Mahoning Ave., North Jackson, OH 44451, for Mrs. Phoebe Dickerhoof, 93 who died Monday morning at Windsor House in Canfield.

Phoebe was born May 26, 1924, in Bellaire, a daughter of Roscoe and Blanche (Johnson) Klee.

She was a graduate of Bellaire High School and the Riggs Lemar Beauty School. Phoebe had done hair for over 50 years and had her own shop in her house for over 40 years. She was a member of the church, where she served as an elder and was very active on many boards. She was also a member of the Miriam Chapter No. 278 Eastern Star and belonged to various card clubs, playing 500 and bridge.

Phoebe married the love of her life, Delmas J. Dickerhoof on June 30, 1946, and he died Dec. 21, 1989.

She leaves her daughter, Diane Dickerhoof, with whom she made her home; her son, Delmas R. of Tamarac, Fla.; three grandchildren, Ross (Katie) Dickerhoof of Iowa, April Dickerhoof of Tamarac, and Lynette (Donny) Rancourt of Florida; three great-grandchildren, Jesse, Siena and Leo Dickerhoof; and her extended family, Sterling and Joyce Jamison and sons.

Phoebe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delmas; and her brother, Rocky and his wife, Frances Klee.

When people think of North Jackson they will remember the sweet lady who was everyone's Mom. Phoebe always had a big smile and gave her welcome friendly hugs and kisses sincerely.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all of Phoebe's caregivers at home, the Windsor House in Canfield and Harbor Lights Hospice.

Friends may call today from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, North Jackson Chapel, 439 S. Salem-Warren Road. (Rt. 45) and on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. at the church.

An Eastern Star service will be held at the end of calling hours on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials are requested to be made to the First Federated Church in North Jackson
