Pauline Gallagher

Austintown---Prayers will begin Wednesday at 11:30 am at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon at Immaculate Heart of Mary for Pauline K. Gallagher, whom passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Pauline was born on September 4, 1942 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Paul and Angela (Druther) Baransky.
She was a 1960 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. Pauline worked for Hills, AMS and Marcs as the head of the Layaway Department for over 22 years. In her free time, she enjoyed baking, camping at Pymatuning State Lake Park, and was an avid fan of the Walking Dead. Pauline was a member of Immaculate Heart Alter Rosary.
She leaves behind her husband of 53 years, John Gallagher, whom she married on September 24, 1965, her children; Cathy (Bob) Brooks, of Austintown, Patty (Todd) Wilson, of Columbus, Colleen (Tom) Danley, of East Liverpool, and John Gallagher II, of Youngstown, her grandchildren; Bobby (Matt) Brooks, Tony Brooks, Mark, Brooks, Danny Brooks, Joey Brooks, Lindsay (Jeff) McNabb, Molly Wilson, Macy Wilson, TJ Danley and Lexi Danley, friend and neighbor Mary Bohr, and her best friend her dog Gizmo.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by a sister Barbara Krusley.
Friends and family may call Tuesday April 17, 2018 from 5-7 pm at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, 4303 Mahoning Ave.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Care Builders at Home for all the loved and supported they showed Pauline at her time of need. The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to St. Christine Catholic School Roof Fund.
