Patricia Margetko

NORTH LIMA - A memorial service will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, for Patricia Margetko, 59, who died Sunday evening at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, surrounded by her family.

Patricia was born Aug. 13, 1955, in Youngstown, to Joseph and Mary (Yutches) Surack.

She was a 1973 graduate of Wilson High School and was a homemaker, who dedicated her life to raising her family.

Patricia was very creative and enjoyed painting, making crafts, and attending craft shows. She also loved to garden.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Jan A. Margetko, whom she married Jan. 11, 1974; a daughter, Katie (Glenn) Reams of Sherman, S.D.; a son, Jan A. Margetko II (fiancé Justine Pezzone) of Youngstown; two sisters, Christine (Travis) Adkins of Elida and Mary Surack of Youngstown; a brother, Joseph (Pamela) Surack of Port Richie, Fla.; five grandchildren, Alec, Adam, Steven, Joyce and Jonathan; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Joannie Jennings and Carol Prelog; and a niece, Stephanie Moore.

Family and friends may call Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St. Boardman, OH 44512.
