YOUNGSTOWN - A memorial service will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, for Kathryn Beverly Baird, 87, who passed away Friday evening at Circle of Care in Salem.
Kathryn was born Feb. 6, 1927, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Charles and Martha (Brown) Baldwin.
Kathryn was a 1945 graduate of South High School. She enjoyed gardening, crafting, painting, crocheting, reading, traveling, cooking and music. Kathryn loved animals, especially birds and cats. She was also a supporter of Angels for Animals.
Her husband, George Calvin Baird Jr., whom she married Aug. 7, 1948, passed away in 2000.
Kathryn leaves her son, George "Edward" (Kathleen Foreman) Baird of Hanoverton, and two grandchildren, Marcie and Matthew Baird.
Family and friends may pay their respects Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Material tributes may take the form of donations to Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Road, Canfield, OH 44406.
