A Funeral Service will be held Friday at Noon at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, North Jackson Chapel for Jeremy A. Koontz, 39, who passed away Tuesday evening at Hospice House.
Jeremy was born March 9, 1977 in Youngstown, a son of Bertrand and Sharlene (Stape) Koontz.
Jeremy was a 1995 graduate of Jackson Milton High School and attended Kent State University. He had a great passion for building, carpentry, and creating his super-tractor. He also enjoyed fishing, working on his corvette, working out and running. Jeremy's greatest love was helping his family and friends, and he had a gift for sharing his love of life with everyone he met.
Jeremy leaves his girlfriend, Rebecca Mattern of North Jackson; his parents of Diamond; two brothers, Jonathan T. (Christina) Koontz of North Jackson and Jeffrey A. (Jennifer) Koontz of Diamond; his nieces and nephews, Hannah, Zachary, Dakota, and Noah; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends who are like family.
Family and friends may call Thursday from 4 to 8 PM and Friday from 11 to Noon at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers material tributes may take the form of donations to the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, 9500 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44195.
