WARREN - Private services will be held for Girish Chandra, 74, who died Sunday morning at home surrounded by his family.
Girish was born July 1, 1941, in Ballia, India, the son of Vindhyachal and Bhanumati (Devi) Prasad.
He came to this area in 1971 and worked in management for Wheatland Tube Co. for 24 years until his retirement in 2001.
Girish loved playing golf and enjoyed traveling the world with his wife.
He is survived by his wife, Chander Kiran Chandra, whom he married July 8, 1973; a daughter Nupur Chandra of Miami; two sons, Ankur (Deanna) Chandra of San Diego, CA, and Pravir Chandra of New York City; a brother Satish Srivastava of India; and two grandchildren, Andreas Chandra and Averie Chandra.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
Professional arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel.
