YOUNGSTOWN - A funeral service will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. for Gail L. Weimer, 81, at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel. Gail died Thursday morning at the Hospice House.
She was born April 8, 1934, in Youngstown, a daughter of Fred and Evelyn Welsh Anderson.
Gail had attended Chaney High School. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and she also enjoyed playing cards with the neighborhood card club. She had worked at Strauss's as a buyer and then worked at Austintown Fitch High School in the cafeteria.
Gail married Charles E. Weimer on July 14, 1951, and he died Aug. 30, 2010.
She leaves three daughters, Barbara (Bill) Sloan of Austintown, Sherry Grimm of Columbus and Lori Mikicic of Austintown; one brother, Ronald Anderson of Youngstown; five grandchildren, Kelly (Carson) Flugstad, Carrie Ann Seals, Donald Simeone, Jennifer (Bill) Evans and Jodie (Nat) Ferguson; and nine great-grandchildren, Joseph Metzger, Mitchell and Mallory Flugstad, Alyssa and Mya Evans, Jacob Ferguson, Adria, Nadia and Donnie Simeone.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice House in memory of Gail.
Friends may call Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
