Frances Kesic

POLAND - Prayers will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Church, for Frances A. Kesic, 92, who passed away Thursday July 2, 2015, at The Commons at Greenbriar.

"Fran" was born June 2, 1923, in Bradley, the daughter of Dominic and Nicolina (Pillicioni) Albanesi.

After graduating from The Rayen School in 1942, she worked at the General Electric Plant in Youngstown and later, worked at General Fireproofing for two years as part of the war effort, preparing engine parts for our military.

Fran was a longtime member of the Holy Family Church. She will be remembered as a caring, loving and giving person who enjoyed crafts, crocheting, ceramics, painting and quilting. Her favorite pastimes included vacationing with her family on Kiawah Island, S.C. and Hutchinson Island, Fla.

Her husband, Thomas M. Kesic, whom she married Jan. 26, 1952, died Jan. 22, 2014.

She is survived by her two daughters, Denise (Lawrence) Crookshanks of Concord, Ohio and Kim (Brent) Moellering of Westerville; a son, Thomas M. Kesic Jr. of Poland; two grandchildren, Lindsey and Michael Crookshanks; and two sisters, Inez Naples and Phyllis Corsell.

Frances was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Kesic.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in memory of Frances to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Drive, Suite E., Green, OH 44685, and The Commons at Greenbriar Activity Fund, c/o Karen DeLisio, 18060 South Ave., Boardman, OH 44512.

Family and friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel.
