BOARDMAN - Dominic J. Monroe, 64, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, Monday morning at Hospice House.
Dominic was born May 22, 1950, in Youngstown, a son of John A. and Ann T. (Vecchione) Monroe.
He was a 1968 graduate of Chaney High School and Akron Barber College. In 1971, he became the owner of Dom's Barber Shop in Poland for 43 years.
His heart belonged to God, his family and his service to the community.
Dominic leaves the love of his life, his wife of 42 years, the former Linda Hingel; a daughter, Linda A. (Ryan) Capezio of Canfield; son John E. (Shannon) Monroe of Canfield; two grandchildren, Dominic and Hailey Monroe; his mother, Ann T. Monroe of Poland; mother-in-law Anne Hingel of Austintown; sister Janet (Chuck) Bieterman of Rochester Hills, Mich.; two brothers, John A. (Jill) Monroe of Austintown and Anthony J. "Bo" Monroe of Boardman; and many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces.
Dominic was preceded in death by his father.
In honor of Dominic's wishes, private family services will be held. He would like everyone to remember happy memories of him.
