Diane Barber

BOARDMAN - Diane E. Barber, 86, passed away peacefully on the evening of April 2, 2018, at the Beeghly Oaks Center in Boardman.
Diane was born on Aug. 3, 1931, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late John W. and Lena A. (Hughes) Barber, and she spent her entire life in the area.
She graduated from The Rayen School in 1949, and she then went to work for General Fireproofing as a secretary, on the North side for 30 years until her retirement in 1980.
Diane is survived by her brother, John A. Barber; and her two nephews, Scott (Gretchen) Barber and Jay (Katie) Barber, all of Atlanta.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 12, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, 3701 Starr Center Drive in Canfield.
Internment will take place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens on Canfield-Niles Road.
The family would like to thank Beeghly Oaks for the loving care they gave to Diane over the last few months.
