AUSTINTOWN - Private family services were held today for Christine A. Gibson, 55, who died early Thursday morning, at St. Elizabeth Health Center, surrounded by her family.
Christine was born July 23, 1960, in Youngstown, the daughter of Jack and Alberta (Nolder) Davidson.
She was a 1978 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and had worked as a supervisor for Mahoning County Child Support for 33 years, until her retirement in 2013.
Christine loved to read, and spend time with her family, especially her son and her dogs.
Her husband, James Gibson, whom she married Oct. 4, 1986, died June 2, 2011.
Christine is survived by her son, James R. Gibson Jr. of Austintown and two sisters, Barbara Bice and Andrea (John) Miller both of California.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Professional arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
