Christine Buzzacco

December 7, 1966 — July 14, 2015

CANFIELD - A memorial Mass will be held Friday at 6 p.m. at St. Christine Church, for Christine "Chrissy" M. Buzzacco, 48, who died early Tuesday morning at home, surrounded by her family.

Chrissy was born Dec. 7, 1966, in Youngstown, a daughter of Raymond "Butch" and the late Marie (Buday) Gedra.

She was a 1985 Chaney High School graduate, who went on to pursue a Bachelor's Degree from Youngstown State University in Respiratory Therapy. She worked at multiple local hospitals throughout her career, and eventually settled at Salem Community Hospital, where she acquired many loving and supporting friends/coworkers.

In 1990, she married her high school sweetheart, David Buzzacco, and together they created a loving family.

Chrissy was an extremely compassionate mother of four beautiful and incredible children, David, Danielle, Mario, and Aniello. She was the most caring and supportive wife any man could ask for. But even more so, Chrissy was an all around amazing person who simply enjoyed life. Her motto was always "live well, laugh often, love much," as it hung on her kitchen wall. She enjoyed all aspects of the outdoors, including Mill Creek Park, animals, country music, flowers around her patio, and vacationing at the beach. In addition to this, she especially enjoyed watching all of her children compete in a variety of athletics.

Chrissy had the ability to bring smiles to the faces of every person she met, and could always be recognized by her distinct laughter. In her husband, Dave's, words "she had a great soul; so full of love and compassion. In addition to this, not only was she my wife/best friend... she was my world."

Chrissy leaves not only great and fond memories, but also a very large family. Included are her siblings, David (Laura) Gedra of Virginia, Dan Gedra of Michigan, and Marie (Dan) Dorazio of North Canton. Additionally, aside from her siblings, are all of her nieces and nephews, as well as her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Her husband, David, and her children would like to thank all friends and family for their amazing support and prayers. They were well received, and words cannot express their gratitude.

Family and friends may call Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the church.

The family requests that material tributes take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society, 525 N. Broad St., Canfield, OH 44406.

Professional arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel.
