AUSTINTOWN - A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Bethel Assembly of God Church for Carole N. Yungen, 77, who passed away Thursday morning at Hospice House.
Carole was born Dec. 17, 1936, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Harold and Minnie (Scherer) Lemke.
Carole was a 1954 graduate of South High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. In her youth, she also enjoyed roller skating. Carole loved extreme couponing and rebates. Her greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her grandsons.
Her husband, Robert A. Yungen, whom she married June 14, 1958, passed away Nov. 7, 1996.
Carole leaves her two daughters, Cathy (James) Pritts of Maryland and Pauline Carik of Austintown; three grandsons, James Pritts Jr., Ryan Golterman, and Ronald L. Carik; a sister, Lorena Bartos of Youngstown; two brothers, Butch Lemke of North Jackson and Donald Lemke of Ellwood City.
Carole was also preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Lemke.
In lieu of flowers, material tributes may take the form of donations to the Bethel Assembly of God Church, 3807 Mahoning Ave., Austintown, OH 44515.
Professional arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
