YOUNGSTOWN - Prayers will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at noon at St. Joseph Church in Austintown, for Blanche J. Kucynski, 97, who passed away Friday evening at Briarfield at Ashley Circle.
Blanche was born Dec. 20, 1917, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Bagan) Maruniak.
Blanche enjoyed bowling and sewing. Her greatest love was for her family and spending time with them.
Her husband, John E. Kucynski, whom she married Oct. 29, 1938, passed away Jan. 28, 1973.
Blanche leaves her daughter, Valerie Judy (James) Gould of Liberty; two sons, Ronald J. (Rosemary) Kucynski of Florida and James E. (Lucy) Kucynski of Delaware; six grandchildren, Cheri Miller, Lori (Ken) Martinez, Linda (Stan) Rajynet, Ronald M. (Mary) Kucynski, Matthew Kucynski, and Vicky (Rob) Helinski; four great-grandchildren, Ashley and Kenneth Miller, Lauren Martinez and Adrianna Rose Helinski; a great-great-granddaughter, Ava Jade Hitt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Blanche was also preceded in death by three sisters, Claira Borsick, Helen Maruniak and Carrie Storc; and a brother, Walter Maruniak.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home, prior to services.
