Anthony Orsinelli

December 21, 1925 — April 8, 2014

BOARDMAN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Church for Anthony Orsinelli, 88, who died Tuesday afternoon at Assumption Village.

Anthony was born Dec. 21, 1925, in Youngstown, to August and Carmella (Guarmiera) Orsinelli.

He was a 1944 graduate of East High School and attended Youngstown State University. Anthony served in the U.S. Army in the 44th Infantry Division during World War II and was stationed in France, Germany and Austria.

Anthony began his 13 year career at Loblaw in 1959, and in 1972, started Market Inventory Service and worked until his retirement in 2009.

Anthony was a member of St. Charles Church and the Knights of Columbus fourth degree Council 3144.

He is survived by his wife, the former Ann M. D'Agostino, whom he married July 25, 1953; two daughters, Debra (Andrew) Goske of Poland, and Sharon (Raymond) Brayer of Franklin, Tenn.; a sister-in-law, Linda Orsinelli of Warren; five grandchildren, Jessica Thompson and Kristin Goske, both of Poland, Alyssa (Tyler) Matheny, Anthony Brayer and Amber Brayer all of Franklin, Tenn.

Family and friends may call Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.

Burial will take place at Poland Riverside Cemetery.

Anthony's family would like to thank the staff at Assumption Village for their care and compassion during his stay.
